No sooner had President Bush tapped Judge Samuel Alito Samuel Anthony Alito, Jr. (born April 1, 1950) is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Educated at Princeton University and Yale Law School, Alito served as a United States attorney and a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit  for a Supreme Court seat than reporters ran to his 90-year-old mother to seek his views. Standing in the doorway of the New Jersey home where she had raised her family, Rose Alito gave pro-abortionists reason to oppose his confirmation.
