 will join DeLuca Liquor & Wine Ltd. to donate $1 for every bottle sold in greater Las Vegas during October 2006 to the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation supporting local cancer patients and cancer survivors Cancer survivors are those individuals with cancer of any type, current or past, who are still living. The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) pioneered the definition of survivor as from the time of diagnosis and for the balance of life, a person diagnosed with  during National Breast Cancer Awareness month Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. .

Five Rivers, which features a series of Goddesses on labels of its popular California Central Coast wines, is working with local retailers and participating restaurants to promote the donation, calling attention to the effort to "Support Your Local Goddess", honoring all the Goddesses of Everyday Life. The donation will be made for sales in Las Vegas and the Komen Foundation's North Affiliate area of coverage.

Eye-catching pink point of sale material materials styled after the familiar pink breast cancer ribbons will hang from bottle necks, appear on shelf alerts and in table tents on restaurant tables. The materials note that in 2006, an estimated 270,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed among U.S. women, with some 11,000 less than 40 years of age, and 2,000 will likely be Nevada residents. The Susan G. Komen Foundation estimates 40,790 women will die this year from breast cancer, with 320 in Nevada. More information is available online at www.komenlasvegas.com .

Up to $10,000 will be donated by Five Rivers Winery and its distributor partner, DeLuca Liquor & Wine Ltd. Five Rivers is making similar donations in several states in conjunction with distributor partners.
