PANTONE Hexachrome printing process dramatically increases the range of colors that can be printed using conventional printing presses. The result is improved tonal reproduction, richer colors, more realistic flesh tones and sharper shadows and highlights than possible with conventional processes.

Today's announcement of support from industry leader Quark, Inc., for its QuarkXPress, QuarkXPress Passport, QuarkCopyDesk, QuarkCopyDesk Special Edition and future Quark products will bring broader access of this new printing process to graphic designers, prepress and printing professionals. Pantone also announced the first showing of PANTONE HexWrench, a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop See Photoshop.  which uses AeQ (Appearance Equivalency technology from Light Source Computer Images, Inc.), allowing users of this popular software to produce six-color separations for the Hexachrome printing process.

Support for Hexachrome has grown rapidly since it was first unveiled in May 1995. Adobe Systems has incorporated Hexachrome support into its PageMaker 6.0 page composition software.
