Supply Tech announces creation of Supply Tech Australia.


ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1995--Supply Tech announced today that it has entered into a joint venture with Focus Communications Pty Ltd of Sydney, Australia to form Supply Tech Australia Pty Ltd.

Third parties provide EDI services that enable organizations with different equipment to connect. ) software, services and solutions to companies of all sizes in Australia,'' said Ted Annis, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. According to Annis, Supply Tech Australia will provide Supply Tech's STX STX - Start Of Text (R) EDI software and EDI implementation services. ``STX is network-independent EDI software that connects to all of the value-added networks in Australia and operates on a range of computer platforms,'' he explained. ``EDI services will be available for integration, document mapping, EDI implementation guide preparation, trading partner meetings and education.''

For Australian companies implementing or planning an EDI program with their trading partners, Supply Tech Australia will also provide the Trading Partner Implementation Program (TPIP TPIP Teacher Preparation Improvement Plan
TPIP Time Phased Implementation Plan
TPIP Third-Party Intellectual Property
). Under this program, Supply Tech Australia takes responsibility for contacting a company's trading partners, providing them EDI solutions and helping them become EDI capable.

The creation of Supply Tech Australia enhances Supply Tech's already-expansive international presence. The company has affiliates in Europe and Mexico, and 19 qualified value-added resellers throughout the world. This network provides global support for Australian-originated EDI programs.

The announcement of Supply Tech Australia coincides with the scheduled meeting of the EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange For Administration Commerce and Transport) An ISO standard for electronic data interchange (EDI) that was proposed to supersede both X12 and TRADACOMS as the worldwide standard.
