Supervisor appointed at Toronto East General. (Health).

TORONTO -- Geoff Davies, head of GPD Consulting in London, has been appointed supervisor of the Toronto East General Hospital. As supervisor he takes over the duties of the Board of Directors.

Hospital president and CEO Janet Davidson now reports directly to Davis. The appointment was made after a provincially commissioned report described a sharply divided board that lost the confidence of the administration and the physicians. The report was written by Davies. The supervisor's term is expected to last six months during which time a new board will be established.
