Superior Industries International Inc.


Superior Industries International Inc., Van Nuys, Calif., reported a first quarter revenue decline of 9.5%, from $234.2 million during the 2004 first quarter to $211.9 million this year. This number reflects a decline in wheel revenue from $228.2 million to $202.1 million. However, it also reflects a 63% increase in components revenue, from $5.9 million the first quarter last year to $9.7 million this year. Contrarily, net income declined from $13.6 million this time last year to $8.9 million in 2005, and income from operations was $9 million compared to $18.6 million for the first quarter in 2004.
