Superior Industries' aluminum wheel facility received Q-9000 registration.
QS-9000 is a general manufacturing quality standard jointly developed by a Chrysler/Ford/General Motors Supplier Quality Requirements Task Force to harmonize the fundamental quality system expectations of the three major North American auto makers.
The Johnson City facility, in operation since 1991, is Superior's third of its six plants to achieve recommendation for QS-9000 registration.
Superior supplies aluminum wheels to General Motors, Ford, Chrysler de Mexico, BMW, Audi and Jaguar, as well as various Japanese manufacturers, including Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru and Isuzu. The company is also a leading manufacturer of accessory products for the national automotive aftermarket.
