Superman Returns

: "Superman Returns" is this summer's cool comic book-to-film transformation that pits Superman against the world's misery only days after he returns to Earth from seaching for his home planet of Krypton krypton (krĭp`tŏn) [Gr.,=hidden], gaseous chemical element; symbol Kr; at. no. 36; at. wt. 83.80; m.p. −156.6°C;; b.p. −152.3°C;; density 3.73 grams per liter at STP; valence usually 0. . When Superman returns to Earth, he finds that the planet he left only years before is in much disarray; therefore, he must fix it with his inhuman strength, laser eyes and unmistakable ability to defy gravity.

The bottom line: The film was fun and cheesy cheesy (che´ze) caseous. , but lacked a strong plot to maintain the momentum of the action. "Superman Returns" is a great family movie, but it lacks drive and plot to entertain mature audiences.

The good stuff: The action scenes are thrilling and amusing, and the visual effects are stunning. Brandon Routh as Superman, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane and Kevin Spacey spac·ey
