Super Hornet Production Ramps Up.

 Co., St. Louis, Mo., for full-rate production of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a carrier-based fighter/attack aircraft that entered service in 1999 with the United States Navy. The fighter has recently been ordered by the Royal Australian Air Force. . The contract provides for the purchase of 36 aircraft in FY 2000, 42 the next year and 48 for each of the following three years.
