 and someone who has it all, basically to the point of conceit. Her world is turned upside down in such a short period of time, dispelling any illusions she has about who her friends and enemies are.

Henderson's prose has a biting attitude. I enjoyed this novel because it's a story of redemption, and it's very human and relatable, even if one hasn't suffered the same grief as the protagonist.
