Sunrise Energy Resources, Inc. - Operational Update.

NEW YORK -- Sunrise Energy Resources, Inc. (OTCBB:SEYR), announces its management's decision to acquire a 100% stake in Pari, Ltd.

On January 20, 2006, Sunrise Energy Resources, Inc. executed a share purchase agreement with the shareholders of Pari, Ltd. The board of directors of Sunrise Energy Resources, Inc. approved the transaction on February 9, 2006.

According to the Ukrainian Government Reserve Report, Pari, Ltd. has proven reserves of approximately 106.2BCF of gas in Niklovitskoe field located in Lviv region of Western Ukraine and 4.1BCF in Sheremetyevskoye field located in Chernovtsi region of Western Ukraine. Pari, Ltd. holds an exploration license that expires in July 2009 for the above properties and the following other undeveloped properties located in Western Ukraine: Peremyshlyanskaya, Chukvinskaya in Lviv region, and Pilipovskaya in Ivano-Frankivsk region. In total, the possible reserves of Pari, Ltd. amount to approximately 24MMBOE. The successful completion of the transaction brings the total possible reserves of Sunrise to approximately 33MMBOE of which gas accounts for approximately 64%, positioning the company to benefit from the recent increase of gas prices in Ukraine, which resulted from the new agreement between the Ukrainian and Russian Governments.
