Sunridge Gold Corp.: Assay Results from Debarwa Increases Strike Length by 400 Metres.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Sunridge Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SGC) reports assay results from 25 drill holes received to date from the Debarwa volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit as part of the 2005-2006 ongoing drilling program at the Asmara Project, Eritrea. These new results have added approximately 400 metres strike length to the south of the Debarwa Main Zone. The total defined strike length at Debarwa is now close to 1,100 metres. Additional drilling is planned for untested area along strike (See map).

Debarwa Southern Extension:

DEBD-046 - 3.0 metres grading 21.04 g/t Au

DEBD-049 - 10.80 metres grading 3.77 g/t Au and 2.31% Zn

DEBR-118-D - 2.05 metres grading 18.44% Cu

DEBR-127-D - 4.55 metres grading 5.45 g/t Au and 2.26% Cu

Debarwa Main Infill:

DEBD-044 - 10.55 metres grading 2.61% Cu

DEBD-045 - 6.45 metres grading 8.79% Cu

The primary focus of the first phase of the 2005/2006 drilling program at Debarwa has been to establish a southern extension of the Debarwa Main mineralization. To accomplish this drill holes were stepped-out at mostly 40 metre centers. The results show that mineralization has been traced more or less continuously over an additional 400 metre strike length and has almost joined Debarwa Main and Debarwa South - see the attached map. The widths and grades of the mineralization along this additional strike length is variable and not as wide or as high-grade as Debarwa Main where, as previously reported, the widths of the mineralized zone frequently reach between 15 to 20 metres and where in the supergene zone copper grades are often between 10% and 20%. These recent results are expected to appreciably increase the size of the final resource to be defined at Debarwa. More results are expected in the near future from holes completed in this trend and further drilling is planned to test the remaining potential strike length.

Drill holes DEBR-117-D, DEBR-120-D, DEBR-121-D and DEBR-123-D had no
significant assay values.

Two drills continue to work at Debarwa to further define all areas of known mineralization at Debarwa Main and Debarwa South. A conceptual mine plan is being conducted on Debarwa by Beacon Hill  Consultants in order to examine the economic potential of fast tracking the high-grade Debarwa deposit to production.

PUT-CALL OPTION:

On January 16th, 2006 Sunridge announced that it intended to acquire the interests of its joint-venture partners such that Sunridge would own 100% interest in the Asmara Joint Venture. Notice was served to the partners to this effect but negotiations have been unable to establish a fair value of the project acceptable to all parties. As a consequence and pursuant to the Option Agreement between the parties an independent consulting company, SRK Consulting of Johannesburg, South Africa, has been appointed to complete the evaluation. The valuation report is expected in early April 2006.

Notes:

1. All assays have been converted to a gold equivalent grade in grams per tonne in order to better clarify the value of these poly-metallic results. Gold equivalent values are calculated on gross metal values not adjusted for metallurgical recoveries and based on the following metal values: Gold equals US$500 per ounce, silver equals US$7 per ounce, copper equals US$2.00 per pound and zinc equals US$0.80 per pound.

2. Drill intercept lengths only are reported in the tabulations; it is estimated that true width will be approximately 80% of the reported drill intercept length.

3. Drill holes designations ending in "D" (e.g. DEBD-044) are all drilled by diamond drilling methods only. Those drill holes with both "D" and "R" in the designations (e.g. DEBR-118-D) were started with reverse-circulation drilling and completed with diamond drilling.

4. Zones of mineralization in the tabulations are as follows: O equals Oxide, SG equals Supergene, P equals Primary zones of mineralization

5. A Quality Assurance/Quality Control program is part of the drilling program on the Asmara Project. This program includes chain of custody protocol as well as systematic submittals of standards, duplicates and blank samples into the flow of samples produced by the drilling.

6. A description of the geology, sampling procedures, and the Company's laboratory Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures are as described in the Company's National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report filed on February 17, 2004 and amended by the Amended Technical Report filed dated April 27, 2004. 7. Samples are prepared at African Horn Testing Services (Eritrea) and analyzed at Genalysis Laboratories (a NATA registered laboratory) in Perth Western Australia.
