Sunplus SPHE1002 MPEG Decode and SPDC210/230 DVB-T QAM Demodulator Deliver a High Performance and Cost Effective DVB-T Turnkey Solution to the Market

LAS VEGAS -- Sunplus, the leading IC supplier for consumer electronics products, today announced that its New DVB-T turnkey solution, which includes backend MPEG Decode chip SPHE1002 and front-end DVB-T QAM Demodulator Chips SPDC210/230, for DVB-T STB or Portable DTV Solution is available to the market. Sunplus DVB-T turnkey solution is among the first dual chip DVB-T STB solutions to deliver the digital terrestrial broadcasting reception and also to have multimedia add-on features such as MPEG1/2/4 Video Decode, MP3/AAC/PCM Audio Decode, USB and Card Reader functions, which are embedded in SPHE1002. Sunplus' newly front-end DVB-T Demodulator chips SPDC210/230 are the most advanced chips to perform the world-class DVB-T stationary and mobile terrestrial reception functions.

Within Sunplus DVB-T turnkey solution, in addition to having state-of-the-art MPEG1/2/4/DivX Video and Audio Decode in SPHE1002, the SPDC210/230 offer worldwide lowest power consumption for around 200mW, quicker channel scan speed better than existing competitors' performance, and good echo performance in single frequency network as well as multiple frequency network. For mobile application, SPDC230 can run up to 130kmh high speed reception under the condition of 16QAM and 2/3 coding rate.
