It is one of two major resort towns in Utah, the other being Moab. It is considered to be part of the Wasatch Back and a part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. .

The shows will feature film clips, sales reports and interviews with actors and filmmakers. The reports from the festival, the premiere showcase for new works by American and international independent filmmakers, will begin on January 18 and continue through the 10-day event. Also available via On Demand will be "Sundance Channel Festival Favorites," a collection of past Sundance winners selected by Festival Director Geoff Gilmore.

"Exclusive content and available on video On Demand is something that we have that satellite customers do not have access to," said Patty Rockenwagner, a Time Warner Cable spokeswoman. "I think you're seeing that On Demand content is expanding. That's something that we're very interested in doing and we're continuing to add content all the time." Among the films in the past winners series that will be available are "DIG," "Crossing Arizona," "Ellie Parker," "Forty Shades of Noun 1. shades of - something that reminds you of someone or something; "aren't there shades of 1948 here?"
