The Sun Web Learning Center provides quick and easy access to Sun's interactive information technology courseware via the Internet. It offers Web-based courses that are platform independent, delivered through your web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you. , and can be taken in sections. Using the Sun Web Learning Center, students can work at their own pace and from any location; all they need is an Internet connection. Thus, individual professors may offer this benefit to their students free of charge and without an additional hardware investment.

Course topics covered include:

--   Java(TM) technologies -- the platform for multi-tier enterprise
     applications
--   Jini(TM) technologies -- an architecture supporting a community
