Sun Life Financial Sells Warehouse Building in Taunton, Massachusetts.

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- On September 1, 2006, the U.S. division of Sun Life Financial (NYSE: SLF, TSX: SLF) sold the 86,400 square foot warehouse building located at 61 Robert Treat Paine Drive in Taunton, Massachusetts to Empire Auto Parts. The warehouse was built in 1986 and was vacant at the time of the sale. John Mulvihill, Senior Vice President, negotiated the sale of the property which was originally purchased by Sun Life Financial in 2002 as an investment.

The sale proceeds will ultimately be used to acquire other properties to join Sun Life Financial's $900 million U.S. real estate investment portfolio containing 85 buildings located across the country.
