Sun Cal Energy Inc. Brings Together More Than 50 Years of Oil and Gas and Capital Markets Experience to Its Board of Advisors.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Sun Cal Energy Inc. (OTCBB:SCEY), an energy exploration company focused in the Southern San Joaquin Valley of California and the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma, is pleased to announce the creation of a Board of Advisors to assist and advise executive management on strategic, financial and technical issues. The Board of Advisors is a consultative body whose members are experts in oil and gas and corporate governance, and will provide guidance and support in developing the Company's oil and gas properties.

Dr. M.V. Achuthan, P. Geol

Dr. Achuthan's extensive background in the energy industry includes prospect evaluation, acquisitions, development planning, recovery program administration, and geological surveying. His evaluations include oil and gas assets in the US and International jurisdictions, as well as oil and gas corporations such as Amoco Petroleum, Elf, and Gulf Canada.

Dr. Achuthan earned his Ph.D. in Paleontology, Geology and Petrography from the University of Vienna, Austria, in 1967.

Chris Metcalf, MBA, JD

An investment banker, Chris brings with him significant venture capital experience in advanced oil and gas discovery technologies, including 3D seismic interpretive software and new surface geochemical survey technologies, as well as advanced automated drilling rig technologies which are being put to use by major exploration and production companies.

He received a BSc in Commerce from the University of Virginia, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Chicago where he graduated with Honors. He is a member of the California and Virginia State Bar Associations.
