The reproduction of the cover of the very first issue of Armada International, edited in 1976, featured the Milan anti-armour missile. Interestingly, and now thirty years on, both Armada International and the Milan continue to experience phenomenal success. A truly international experience, that is. The issue that is currently in your hands is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of this totally independent and self-supported defence equipment publication. It is in itself a concrete testimony to its quality, having not only survived the budgetary storms that severely shook the defence world with the demise of the Warsaw Pact, but also to having expanded its readership to 183 nations worldwide. What a feat! And with the latest audited figure of 22,419 subscribers, there is every reason to believe that Armada International will continue to hold its current leading position.
