Subsentio Announces New Partnership with Internet Security Systems to Deliver Network Security Services to Rural Telcos.

SAN DIEGO -- Subsentio, the leader in comprehensive real-time network security, today announced a new alliance with Internet Security Systems (ISS) to provide a host of security services exclusively for independent rural telcos. The services--intrusion detection and prevention, URL filtering, and anti-spyware--will allow rural telcos to secure their customers' networks from worms and spyware, reduce operating expenses and network downtime, and protect their marketshare from competition.

At the 2006 National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) Annual Meeting & Expo and Rural Telecom Summit, Subsentio is launching a national rollout of ISS' market-leading Proventia Intrusion Prevention Appliance to rural telcos. Proventia intrusion prevention appliances deliver preemptive protection for networks, stopping malicious Internet attacks before they impact an organization, effectively preserving network availability, reducing the burden on IT resources and preventing security breaches.

As more and more of their customers clamor for IP core networks and services, rural telcos are facing numerous challenges: securing their networks from worms and spyware, the expense of cleaning and maintaining their customers' PCs and bandwidth, and lost marketshare due to network outages and poor performance.
