The updates reflect lessons learned from the Space Based Infrared An invisible band of radiation at the lower end of the visible light spectrum. With wavelengths from 750 nm to 1 mm, infrared starts at the end of the microwave spectrum and ends at the beginning of visible light. System and Future Imagery Architecture Future Imagery Architecture (FIA) is a program to design a new generation of US reconnaissance satellites for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The development contract was awarded to a Boeing team in late 1999, and is estimated to possibly reach a value of US$25 billion programs, and the Defense Space Acquisition Board process. The modified space acquisition process provides more timely opportunities for Milestone Decision Authority reviews throughout the execution of the program and is consistent with the National Reconnaissance Office Noun 1. National Reconnaissance Office - an intelligence agency in the United States Department of Defense that designs and builds and operates space reconnaissance systems to detect trouble spots worldwide and to monitor arms control agreements and environmental Directive 7 process. This document supersedes the National Security Space Acquisition Policy 03-01 dated 6 October 2003. The National Security Space Acquisition Policy 03-01 falls under the authority of DoD Directive 5000.1 and replaces processes and procedures described in DoD Instruction 5000.2.
