Mr. Grone succeeds Raymond F. DuBois who has served as the DUSD (I & E) since April 2001. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has asked Mr. DuBois to continue as a senior member of his staff in his concurrent role as the Director of Administration and Management for the Office of the Secretary of Defense The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) is part of the United States Department of Defense and includes the entire staff of the Secretary of Defense. It is the principal staff element of the Secretary of Defense in the exercise of policy development, planning, resource where he has done double duty for the past two years. Mr. DuBois will continue his direct involvement with the Base Realignment and Closure Base Realignment and Closure (or BRAC) is a process of the United States federal government directed at the administration and operation of the Armed Forces, used by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and Congress to close excess military installations and realign process as an advisor to the Infrastructure Steering Group.
