, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on June 15, 2002, at St. Simons Presbyterian Church in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Jack Smith of Grenada and Deanie Strength of St. Simons Island, Georgia, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Walker Sturdivant of Greenwood, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jay Dyksterhosue of Florence, South Carolina.

Nuptial music was provided by soloist Gip Clark of Hollywood, California; pianist Jack Zoesch of Pittsford, New York Pittsford may refer to two municipalities in the suburban area of Rochester, New York in the United States:

; organist Glenn Pride of St. Simons Island, Georgia; and Belle Fleur of the Jacksonville Symphony.

Scripture readers were Elaine Norton of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Adair Sturdivant of Jackson, both cousins of the the bride, and Jeff Morrison of Florence, South Carolina.

Serving as ushers were Jeremy Paul and Kyle Pipkin, both of Florence, South Carolina.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the King and Prince Beach Hotel.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia in the Caribbean, the couple is at home in Acworth, Georgia.
