Students claim top prize.


Students and student clubs were awarded prizes from the Student Branch for their commitment to the field of recreation. The Overall Student Club of the Year award is given to the club that demonstrates an overall dedication to their school, their community, NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association
NRPA Natural Resources Protective Association (Staten Island, NY)
NRPA Niagara Regional Police Association (Canada)
NRPA National Rifle and Pistol Association
, and the park and recreation profession as a whole. The club receives a plaque at the upcoming Congress in Reno, Nev.

Two students, one undergraduate and one graduate, were also chosen to receive special recognition. They receive a free registration and $100 to use at Congress, as well as an awards plaque and commendation letter from the Board of Trustees board of trustees Politics The posse of thugs who oversee an institution's administration. See Board of directors. . The 2004 winners are:

Outstanding Club Award

Penn State University

Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award

Kimberly Hinckley

Florida State University Florida State University, at Tallahassee; coeducational; chartered 1851, opened 1857. Present name was adopted in 1947. Special research facilities include those in nuclear science and oceanography.  

Outstanding Graduate Student Award

Heather Hogle

Central Michigan University Central Michigan University, at Mount Pleasant, Mich.; coeducational; est. 1892 as a normal school, became Central State Teachers College in 1927, achieved university status in 1959. The university maintains a forest that is used for botanical and biological research.
