Structures on tap.

Structures on Tap Need high-quality drawings of molecular structures for your paper or lecture slides? Brego has assembled a set of 250 molecular structures from Acetaldehyde to Xanthine for use with Lotus Freelance Plus.

Having recently reviewed Freelance Plus (see Jan '89, p.7), I found the structures very easy to use. Individual structures are organized on pages by functional group. You select one and adjust the figure size, text style and line weights. Functional groups can be added or several structures combined into more complex species. Arrows, text and symbols complete the picture yielding simple equations or complex reaction mechanisms. The final result can be added to the library for future use.

The Brego structures provide a simple and quick method to prepare high quality drawings of molecular structures. They should be of considerable value to organic and biochemists. Expect to hear more about Brego in future reviews as they specialize in laboratory programs. Brego's Dr. Ouchi is a frequent contributor to American Laboratory. Writing to him should get you a sample copy of the newsletter, Laboratory PC User.
