Stroh readies for '93 consumer promos.

The Stroh Brewery Co. plans to make 1993 a big payoff year for its consumers, according to the brewer's campaign strategy for 1993.

Beginning this month, the Old Milwaukee family will kick off the "Trail Blazin" sweepstakes. The characters of Jack and Andy, who were introduced in advertising last year, will be featured on point-of-sale materials announcing the contest and consumers' chance to win one of four Winnebagos.

In March, Old Milwaukee, Old Milwaukee Light and Old Milwaukee N.A. will run the "Pot of G-Old Milwaukee" St. Patrick's Day promotion. Also during the month, Schlitz Malt Liquor consumers can win stereo equipment during the "Turn up the Bull" sweepstakes.

Spring cleaning and home improvement signal the return of warmer weather in April. Appropriately, Old Milwaukee N.A. will begin its "Men at Work" sweepstakes to make both projects easier. When customers buy the brand during April, they will receive discounts on power tools from Skil and the chance to win a home workshop.
