Strategic Alliance With ABB Continues to Drive Braintech Success; New Vision Guidance Robotic application to be delivered to a Major North American Automaker.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Braintech, Inc. (OTCBB: BRHI), a leading provider of vision guided robotic software, announced today that it has received a purchase order from its strategic alliance partner ABB for 16 "eVF" built solutions. eVisionFactory (eVF) is the ingredient software platform of ABB's TrueView Vision Guided Robotic System.

The order from ABB is the first time that the TrueView system will be implemented in an automotive assembly plant, which Braintech views as a potential growth area for vision guided robotic applications. TrueView will provide ABB robots with vision guidance that makes them capable of de-racking car body panels for assembly and processing. The completed TrueView systems are slated to be installed later this year.

ABB, Inc. of Auburn Hills and Braintech operate together under a strategic alliance whereby ABB uses Braintech vision guidance technology inside of its TrueView Vision Guided Robotic system.

This process for press releases is to announce orders from customers that are material to Braintech with subsequent installation releases expected to provide additional detail as appropriate.
