The strategic alliance enables Ingenico to offer its clients an eXtensions for Financial Service (XFS)-compliant interface into its hardware, such as personal identification number (PIN) pads, which facilitate transactions in retail and banking environments. In turn, Nexus Software will offer its customers support for Ingenico hardware that can be easily integrated into any banking payment environment.

Ingenico PIN pads are used to enable EMV (Europay, Mastercard and Visa) chip and magnetic stripe transactions. By adding XFS capabilities through the Nexus INvolve product family, customers can utilize the functionality available in the Ingenico devices through open standards that are widely accepted in the market.
