NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 30, 1995--Stores Automated Systems Inc. (SASI), one of America's leading point-of-sale companies along with Farm Stores, the 55th largest convenience store chain, Thursday presented a seminar at Tech Forum on system selection, installation and implementation.

This event is being held in conjunction with the National Advisory Group/Convenience Store News Expo.

SASI vice president, Jack Finney and John LaFrankie, vice president of marketing at Farm Stores, provided a unique program discussing the evaluation and selection process for a technology solution, highlighting product implementation at Farm Stores.

Farm Stores is currently beginning a chain-wide roll-out of the SASI c-store system which will provide full scanning, item level inventory management, DSD (direct store delivery), fuel and money order integration, credit, fleet and CRIND (Credit Readers in Dispensers). They are also implementing a host pricebook and executive information system.

Farm Stores, processing their own milk, ice cream and other dairy products, operates in the Southeast United States, with retail sales for fiscal 1994 at approximately $175 million. They offer two different retail formats, the original drive-through format for stay-in-the-car shopping as well as traditional walk-in convenience stores.
