"Companies recognized at SNW can be proud of the accomplishments of these talented IT professionals. Their hard work and dedication to the best practices in the storage networking industry benefit their companies, employees, and customers alike," said Ron Milton, executive vice president, Computerworld.

APS, Arizona's largest and longest serving electric utility in the southwest, manages over 150 terabytes of data across all its systems, with another 200 terabytes in secondary storage. Servicing one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, APS needed to upgrade its systems away from direct attached storage (DAS) to SAN systems. To do so, APS deployed a suite of NetApp(R) SAN solutions that allowed the company to grow as rapidly as its customer base, manage backups efficiently, keep its systems highly available, and protect sensitive customer data.

"We are honored to receive this award," said Mark Dillon, IS manager -- Distributed Operating Systems at APS. "By deploying NetApp unified storage solutions, APS can scale quickly and reliably to meet the needs of our customers."
