Storage Networking World Names Recipients of 'Best Practices in Storage' Awards; Awards Presented at Storage Networking World in Orlando.


FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Storage Networking World Storage Networking World (commonly called SNW) is a for data storage professionals in the United States. Sponsored by Computerworld and the Storage Networking Industry Association, SNW is held twice each year.  (SNW), the world's largest educational event on storage networking technologies, announced the recipients of its "Best Practices in Storage" awards at a ceremony held Wednesday night. The event, which concluded yesterday at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, Florida, is co-owned by IDG's Computerworld, the "Voice of IT Management," and the Storage Networking Industry Association An association of producers and consumers of storage networking products, whose goal is to further storage networking technology and applications. The Storage Networking Industry Association, or SNIA  (SNIA).

Recipients of the "Best Practices in Storage" awards were selected from approximately 100 entries in five categories, with two honorees per category and honorable mentions for each. They were judged by representatives from a variety of organizations including Pace University, Rent-A-Center and The Evaluator Group. Awards were presented to the following organizations:

--Innovation and Promise -- Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, Memphis, Tennessee and Navy Surface Combat Systems Center, Wallops Island, Virginia

--Industry Regulation Compliance and Corporate Governance -- Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Texas and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City is a cancer treatment and research institution founded in 1884 as the New York Cancer Hospital. The main campus is located at 1275 York Avenue, between 67th and 68th Streets, with other locations in New , New York, New York

--Data Lifecycle Management -- Palmetto Health, Columbia, South Carolina Columbia is the state capital and largest city of South Carolina.
