. Prior to joining S&Y, he was Vice President, New York Regional Fixed Income Sales at J.P. Morgan Securities where he developed a successful sales effort in five Mid-Atlantic States and the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States). . Prior to that, Mr. Scales was Middle Market sales manager for the New York branch of Banc One for two years before J.P. Morgan's acquisition of Banc One in July 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Scales was with Credit Suisse First Boston's Fixed Income Division, where he focused on fixed-income coverage of Fortune 500 corporations and helped establish a new bank unit. He began his career at Citibank, where he spent 18 years in positions of increasing responsibility, primarily in Institutional Sales.
