John Kenny (1957-) is a British trombonist, actor, composer and multi-faceted performer of contemporary solo repertoire, modern jazz and early music.

Towson is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 51,793 at the 2000 census.
, attorney for 35 years. On the morning of June 17, he was walking from his law office to a nearby church to attend the 8:30 service, but he never got to his destination. A flurry of activity alongside a nearby SUV attracted Kenny's attention. As he got closer, he noticed a man leaning into the vehicle, apparently beating someone inside.

"I didn't know if he was beating a man or a woman. I originally thought it was a guy. That's why I got involved because [the assailant] was hitting them hard enough to kill them," Kenny told a reporter for the Steubenville (Ohio) Herald-Star.

The victim proved to be a 24-year-old woman, Lesley Dunlap, and her attacker was later identified as 25-year-old Jeffrey Ricardo Jones, Jr., her ex-boyfriend. Jones had followed her to her workplace on the morning of the attack and had used a hammer to smash her car's windows. He then dragged her from her car and into his SUV. When he was forced to stop in traffic, Miss Dunlap tried to escape, whereupon where·up·on

 Jones caught her, jammed her back in the passenger's seat, and began the attack as Kenny came along.

Like most brave heroes, Kenny doesn't consider himself one: "It is a word that I have grown to dislike. It rings untrue," Kenny told the press. He prefers to think of himself as just a man who did what needed to be done.
