Santa Monica-based Stamps.com Inc., which sells postage stamps This is a list of postage stamps that are especially notable in some way.

The best-known stamps:

 over the Internet, sued eBay Inc. and its PayPal electronic payment service, claiming they breached a 2002 licensing agreement that would have allowed PayPal customers to use their accounts for stamp purchases.

The suit was filed on June 24 in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Superior Court. Stamps.com claims PayPal didn't work to start within a reasonable time a service that would have allowed PayPal customers to buy and print electronic postage POSTAGE. Stamps.com seeks damages to compensate for the lost value of the agreements and for alleged bad faith and interference on the part of PayPal and EBay.

    EBay spokesman Chris Donlay said the company couldn't comment because it hasn't seen the lawsuit.

    As of last week, Stamps.com's shares had risen 5.3 percent year-to-date to a close of $4.92 on June 25.
