The new CAT 6a jacks are the latest addition to Stewart Connector's expanding portfolio of connectors specifically designed to satisfy the demands of emerging high-speed networking and computing applications. Engineered to meet and exceed the 500 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  requirements of the CAT 6a specifications, the jacks feature internal compensation to enhance electrical performance without the need for extensive secondary compensation on the main PCB. The Series boasts a patent-pending design, which integrates the capacitive and inductive compensation on a flexible circuit board that attaches directly to the tips of the jacks' contacts, close to where the jack and modular plug interface. The proximity of this flexible board to the connection helps cancel NEXT crosstalk introduced to the jack from the plug. Moreover, as the flexible circuit board attaches to the jacks' contacts, the jacks preserve the standard modular connector Modular connector is the name given to a family of electrical connectors examples of which are pictured. These connectors were originally used in telephone wiring. Even though they are still used for that purpose they are used for a variety of other things as well.  design to ensure durable and reliable connections.
