Steven S. Willensky named Furon vice president, marketing.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 1997--Furon Co. (NYSE:FCY) Wednesday announced the appointment of Steven S. Willensky to the position of vice president, marketing.

Willensky's duties in this position will encompass complete oversight of the company's marketing activities including: market development, product management and brand positioning of Furon's extensive product lines worldwide.

Terry Noonan, Furon's president and chief operating officer named Willensky to this new position.

"Steve's vast experience with global marketing challenges, product and brand management issues, makes him an outstanding addition to Furon's market focused organization.

Noonan went on to say, "Coming from General Electric where Steve was responsible for new product development for the Lighting division, he will fit right in with our new product development emphasis."

In Willensky's most recent position with General Electric Co. he served as vice president, Global Marketing & Product Management for G.E. Lighting, Cleveland. In that position he was responsible for global marketing and brand positioning for the lamp products business.

Prior to that Willensky served as vice president Marketing/Product Management in England where he engineered a turnaround for G.E. Lighting Europe and successfully launched GE brands and products throughout Europe.
