Steven Renshaw Joins Rice & Associates as Partner, New Firm Name is Rice & Renshaw.


TORRANCE, Calif. -- Steven J. Renshaw, a veteran trial lawyer with more than two decades of experience as a civil litigator working in both the public and private sectors, has joined the Southern California law firm of Rice & Associates as a Partner. Concurrent with Renshaw assuming his new position with the Torrance, CA-based firm, which concentrates its practice in Taxation, Elder Care and Business law, it has changed its name to Rice & Renshaw.

In making the announcement, firm Founder and Senior Partner David Lee Rice reported that Renshaw's arrival and the change of name completes a recent two-month expansion of the firm which encompassed the increase of its legal staff by three attorneys as well as other support staff. Rice remarked:

"Having Steve join the firm was the final and key `piece of the puzzle' in terms of our reorganization which was necessitated by our recent growth combined with an expansion of the scope of the legal services we now offer. Rice added that Renshaw, a former Assistant United States Attorney United States Attorneys (also known as federal prosecutors) represent the United States federal government in United States district court and United States court of appeals. There are 93 U.S.  who worked for three large law firms as an Associate and Partner before joining the firm, will focus his practice with the firm on business and tax litigation, tax planning and trust and will litigation. Renshaw is licensed to practice before the California and Arizona state courts and the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States).  as well as the United States Supreme Court United States Supreme Court: see Supreme Court, United States.  and the four regional courts of the United States COURTS OF THE UNITED STATES. The judiciary of the United States is established by virtue of the following provisions, contained in the third article of the constitution, namely:

Prior to joining Rice & Associates, Renshaw was a Partner in the Los Angeles, CA law firm of Shea, Stokes & Carter. He previously served as an Associate with the Los Angeles firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and the Phoenix, AZ firm of O'Connor, Cavanaugh & Westover. In addition to the California, Arizona and District of Columbia Bars, his professional affiliations include membership in the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law  and Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Renshaw's professional career began in government service as a Political Analyst for the United States State Department specializing in Eastern European Affairs. He is multi-lingual and speaks French, Russian and Polish. Active in politics, he has been a candidate for Congress and is a member of his party's Central Committee in California.
