Steven D. Rosenboro Named Vice President, General Counsel for CIMedia.

Cox Interactive Media (CIMedia) announced today that Steven D. Rosenboro has been promoted to vice president, general counsel. The announcement was made by Scott Whiteside, COO.

In his new position, Rosenboro will continue to oversee all of CIMedia's legal matters, with a primary focus on technology, intellectual property, new media and Internet law transactions. He will also lead all policy issues associated with CIMedia's interests.

Notably, Rosenboro represents CIMedia on the board of advisors of the Internet Alliance (IA), the leading consumer Internet industry association representing the industry on the state, federal and international levels. Through public policy, advocacy, consumer outreach and strategic alliances, the IA is seeking to build the confidence and trust necessary for the Internet to become a leading global market medium of the 21st Century. Leading members of the IA include: America Online, Bell Atlantic, Citibank, Cox Interactive Media, Deutsche Telekom, DLJDirect, IBM, MCI WorldCom/UUNET, Microsoft and Prodigy.

Prior to joining CIMedia as general counsel in August, 1998, Rosenboro was in-house counsel with Prodigy Communications, Inc. Before joining Prodigy, he was an associate at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder and Steiner LLP, New York City. In that capacity, he specialized in computer law and new media transactions. Rosenboro also previously worked for Bertelsmann Music Group, legal and business affairs division, New York City. Before embarking on a legal career, he worked for Goldman Sachs & Co., where he served in their commodities division for five years.

Rosenboro has spoken on new media law issues before American International Group Inc.'s regional seminar on high technology, the American Bar Association's entertainment and sports industries annual conference and The Copyright Society of the U.S.A. He has also written extensively about computer, telecommunications and new media law. His articles have been published in the New York Law Journal, the American Bar Association's Entertainment and Sport Lawyer publications and in West Group Publishing's Entertainment, Publishing and the Arts handbook (1997-98). As an active member of the ABA, Rosenboro served as an associate editor to the ABA's Entertainment and Sports Lawyer publication from 1996 to 1999. He holds a B.S. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law.
