Steven D. Dalrymple Appointed CEO of USRobotics.


CHICAGO -- Steven D. Dalrymple, a technology industry veteran with strong experience leading companies in rapidly changing markets, has been named chief executive officer of USRobotics, the company announced today.

Mr. Dalrymple replaces Joseph Hartnett, who engineered the sale of USRobotics to Platinum Equity Platinum Equity is an American information technology and private equity firm. It was founded by billionaire Tom Gores in 1995 and is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.  in August 2005 and led the company through its transition in the intervening year.

"Joe Hartnett played a pivotal role in positioning USRobotics for the future," said Paul Bridwell, senior vice president at Platinum Equity. "We are confident there will be a smooth transition as he passes the reins to Steve Dalrymple."
