Steve Blamer Named Managing Director of Grey Advertising in Los Angeles
Grey's 1997 Resolutions Come True Early: A New Director and Redesigned Offices
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Grey Advertising (Nasdaq: GREY) announced today the promotion of Steve Blamer to the newly created position of executive vice president, managing director the Los Angeles office. The promotion comes at a time when Grey/Los Angeles is getting a face lift to reflect the other side of Grey few people acknowledge -- its creative product.
Blamer will continue to report to Jeff Alperin, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Grey Advertising's Western Division.

In addition, Grey/Los Angeles is remodeling its office space to provide a more contemporary, exciting work environment.
Blamer began at Grey in 1989 as director of new business, and was most recently executive vice president, director of client services before being promoted.
In addition to his new business role, Steve will continue to oversee two of Grey/Los Angeles' largest accounts, Caesars World and Kal Kan pet foods.
Blamer previously worked for Needham, Harper & Steers in Chicago and Foote, Cone and Belding in Chicago and Los Angeles. He was also director of marketing for Capri Sun, Inc. which be left to start Sundale Beverages in San Francisco.
Blamer is a graduate of Arizona State University Arizona State University, at Tempe; coeducational; opened 1886 as a normal school, became 1925 Tempe State Teachers College, renamed 1945 Arizona State College at Tempe. Its present name was adopted in 1958. , and is on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement. He was born and raised in Southern California, and is married with two children.
