Sterling sells St. Louis apartments.


Following an ownership period of nearly thirty years, Sterling American Property Inc. announced today that it has completed the sale of the Northwinds Apartment Homes, a 440-unit garden style apartment complex located at 9556 Glen Owen Drive in Ferguson, MO.

The sale price was $20,550,000. The buyer was Eagle Point Enterprises, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

The transaction was announced by Tom Osterman, Executive Vice President of Sterling American Property, who indicated that Sterling had originally acquired the property as one in a package of 4 properties which first brought them to the greater St. Louis Greater St. Louis is the informal name of the St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area, the 18th largest in the United States. Its population of 2,801,033 (as of 2007 according to the US Census Bureau) includes the independent City of St. Louis, St.  market.

In announcing the sale, Mr. Osterman said, "Sterling American had held this property through several market cycles but the current market conditions made the timing for this sale especially compelling."

The complex has many amenities including a daycare facility, an Olympic swimming pool and full private basements.
