Step Up to Center Stage for the Last Flashdance & Get Served.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

The spoof movie genre makes the leap into the dance world this month. Dance Flick, which hits theaters Feb. 6, lampoons favorites like Step Up, Save the Last Dance, You Got Served, Flashdance, and Center Stage. Created by those masters of parody, the Wayans family, the familiar plot line for pop dance movies gets kicked up a notch in Dance Rick. A break--dancing newborn and a character named Tracy Transfat remind us that not everything needs to be taken so seriously. The film's choreography is by Dave Scott, who worked on Step Up 2 and Stomp the Yard, as well as TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars.
