Stem Cell stem cell

In living organisms, an undifferentiated cell that can produce other cells that eventually make up specialized tissues and organs. There are two major types of stem cells, embryonic and adult.
 Innovations, Inc., Houston, TX, has opened a new research and development facility in Leiden, The Netherlands to commercialize their proprietary platform of human pluripotent stem cells pluripotent stem cell Hematology The 'mother of all cells'–the progenitor of all hematopoietic cells–eg, platelets, RBCs, neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes. The company disclosed recently it has produced multiple lines of human pluripotent stem cell lines that are able to maintain their undifferentiated undifferentiated /un·dif·fer·en·ti·at·ed/ (un-dif?er-en´she-at-ed) anaplastic.
