Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL STEL Short Term Exposure Limit

), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today expanded functionality for its award-winning Stellent(R) Site Studio, a Web content management application based upon Stellent's enterprise-scalable Universal Content Management system and designed to support the growing trend of companies building multiple Web sites. Site Studio and its unique, three-tiered approach to Web content management allows companies to easily maintain a desired degree of centralized control 1. In air defense, the control mode whereby a higher echelon makes direct target assignments to fire units. 2. In joint air operations, placing within one commander the responsibility and authority for planning, directing, and coordinating a military operation or group/category of  over the architecture and presentation of Web sites, while distributing content ownership and site management to each business unit, franchise or geographic location.

New functionality makes Site Studio operational across global environments with the product now localized in six languages. In addition, Stellent has enhanced Site Studio's usability and strengthened its content re-use capabilities.

"Since its launch in May 2003, Stellent Site Studio has been in high demand among customers across a variety of industries, and one of the most rapidly adopted, fastest-selling products in Stellent's history," said Dan Ryan Dan Ryan may refer to:

, executive vice president of marketing and business development for Stellent. "The product's new functionality makes it even easier for Web site developers and content contributors to quickly create multiple Web sites that -- while specialized for a specific department, franchise or geography -- are based on consistent corporate components, messaging and branding."

Recently, Site Studio won an International Stevie(TM) Award in the Best New Product or Service category in the first-ever International Business Awards(SM) competition. The application also was named a "Trend Setting Product of 2003" by KMWorld magazine.

"Site Studio has brought a higher level of efficiency and control to our once difficult multi-site management processes," said Femi Bamisaiye, group technical services director for Rexam PLC. "We have separate geographical instances of our intranet Web sites within our organization, and the Stellent application ensures we have consistency across these sites while giving appropriate groups within the company freedom to create and manage sites that best support their business functions. The recent functionality Stellent added to Site Studio has enabled us to far more quickly and with considerably less effort deploy and maintain our sites."

 Capabilities

Site Studio now allows companies to more easily deploy and maintain multiple Web sites in different languages. Additionally, Site Studio's contribution user interface is available in English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

Enhanced Content Consistency and Publishing

Stellent Site Studio now gives content contributors more control over the formatting (i.e. styles, fonts, etc.) of their content, with available formatting managed by a central Web designer. The application also enables companies to design and develop Web sites for dynamic contribution -- pulling and assembling content from a common repository -- and then publish these sites as static representations built and delivered with HTML HTML

code on standard Web servers. This process provides users more control over the placement and naming of published content by intelligently generating file names and system location based upon previously assigned Web site content metadata, and is especially important for Web content accessed through portal environments. In addition, Web site developers can use Java Server Page or Active Server Page See ASP.  technology -- both industry standards -- to build content contribution and consumption environments.

Expanded Content Re-Use Capabilities

Site Studio's new functionality also includes enhanced content re-use capabilities. Contributors now have more control over the re-use and assignment of content during in-context authoring, a process that allows users to simply navigate to the area of a Web site requiring modification where they authenticate and update appropriate content based upon security permissions. In addition, non-technical contributors can easily link new or existing content by utilizing an intuitive user interface.

Additionally, information about what content is used on which Web site can be utilized to determine the Web sites impacted if changes are made to that content. As a result, a single authoritative content source can be used multiple times within the same Web site or across multiple sites.

Pricing and Availability

Site Studio is included with the Stellent Web Content Management solution, which is sold as an option to Stellent Content Server. Stellent Web Content Management is priced from $25,000 to $100,000 USD USD
