Hancock is one of jazz music's most important and influential pianists and composers. , Ben Heppner, Ahmad Jamal, k.d. Lang, Michel Legrand, Ramsey Lewis, Roger Williams and Nancy Wilson. "The collaboration of these great musical artists is a testament to the high quality and enduring legacy of Steinway & Sons pianos," said eighty-seven-year-old Henry Z. Steinway. "Our celebration of music, with three consecutive nights of performances from Carnegie Hall, is a beautiful and historic backdrop for this significant milestone." In honor of this anniversary, Steinway & Sons unveiled two limited edition pianos: one created by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, and the second, a recreation of one of the most historic Steinway grand pianos played by legendary artist Ignace Jan Paderewski in 1891.
