Steel fall closes road.

A city road was closed today after 30 tons of steel fell off a lorry.

The bundles of metal - weighing the equivalent of around 30 cars - were scattered across Rover Way after coming off the truck at around 7.20am.

Police closed the road from the Docks entrance roundabout to the Welsh Water Dŵr Cymru / Welsh Water (DCWW) is a company which supplies drinking water and wastewater services to most of Wales and parts of western England.

It is regulated under the Water Industry Act 1991.

A spokesman for South Wales Police South Wales Police (Welsh: Heddlu De Cymru) is one of the four Home Office police forces in Wales. Its headquarters are based in Bridgend.  said: 'There are 13 bundles of metal each weighing around two tons each across the road.

'We have got a crane there lifting the steel but the road will be closed for several hours. Nobody is injured.'
