Stealth Minerals Limited: Sofia Geophysics Reveals Large-Scale Copper-Gold Porphyry Target.VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Stealth Minerals Limited (TSX TSX Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE before April, 2002) TSX Transfer from Stack Pointer to Index TSX True Space Extension VENTURE:SML 1. Barnes, ICI, TR JGPB/69/35 (1969). ) - In 2005, Lloyd Geophysical of Vancouver was contracted to complete 17 line-kilometres of Induced Polarization (IP) and ground magnetic surveys to the south and west of Stealth's newly discovered Sofia copper-gold porphyry outcrop. The survey covered an area 1,500 metres east west by 3,000 metres north south with grid lines spaced at 200 metres and stations at 50 metres on each line. In 2003 an airborne survey was completed and in 2004 the area was mapped in conjunction with the previously discussed soil sampling program. This ground based geophysical survey was a fundamental piece of work that provided a coherent geological picture of the potential of the Sickle Creek area. In 2004 the Company discovered the Sofia outcrop while conducting the detailed soil grid referred to in Stealth's October 11th 2005 news release. The outcrop is close to the contact of Jurassic monzonite monzonite Type of igneous rock that contains abundant and approximately equal amounts of plagioclase and potash feldspar, as well as other minerals. The type region is Monzoni, Italy, in the Italian Tirol; similar rocks have been described from Montana, Norway, Sakhalin and mafic Triassic (Takla Group) volcanic rocks. The outcrop displays intense potassic alteration of the monzonite and biotite biotite (bī`ətīt'), iron-rich variety of phlogopite, most abdunant of the mica minerals. biotite or black mica Silicate mineral in the common mica group. alteration of the mafic rocks. Both lithologies are cut by magnetite magnetite (măg`nətīt), lustrous black, magnetic mineral, Fe3O4. It occurs in crystals of the cubic system, in masses, and as a loose sand. , quartz-magnetite, and magnetite-chalcopyrite veins forming a dense fracture pattern and stockwork. The alteration style within the two lithologies is similar to the Kemess South deposit operated by Northgate Minerals Corporation. Assays from a 26 metre wide outcrop of mafic unit average 0.07% copper and 140 ppb gold. The area is generally heavily glacio-fluvial gravel covered and few outcrops are noted. Prospecting style samples from available outcrop over a large area have returned similar grades. A one-metre chip sample on a vein 2,100 metres southeast of the Sofia outcrop and hosted within the same intrusion returned 32 grams per tonne gold and 5.0% copper. The airborne survey flown in 2003 outlines the Sofia target as a 2.2 km x 3.5 km sized circular feature on the northeast rim of a larger 6 km by 7.0 km ovate magnetic-high feature. This larger feature is cored by an easterly trending egg-shaped 1,600 by 3,200 metre magnetic low that may reflect magnetic destructive alteration as it correlates with an airborne total-potassium-high and thorium-potassium airborne radiometric-low that hosts the Quartz Lake, BS Zone, Alunite al·u·nite n. The IP chargeability outlined a 1,500 by 2,000 metre + 20 millisecond chargeability- high which includes a 1,000 by 1,300 metre + 40 millisecond chargeability- high anomaly. Within these gradients, a stronger IP response of + 50 milliseconds occurs in an area 300 by 600 metres. The geophysical anomaly is open to the east, west and north. The IP anomaly correlates with part of the smaller 2.0 by 3.5 km airborne anomaly which extends east and north of the IP survey area indicating a the need to expand the IP survey in 2006. Prospecting near a portion of the magnetic anomaly east of the river returned copper mineralized volcanic rocks returning up to 0.12% copper and 119 ppm silver about 800 metres northeast of the Sofia outcrop. Prospecting 2 km north of the outcrop, potassic altered volcanics, which are believed to shallowly overly most of the intrusion, returned values greater than 1.0% copper. The Company's interpretation of the configuration and location of anomalies of the ground based and airborne geophysics and geological mapping indicates that a large, 6,000 metre by 7,000 metre mineralizing intrusion underlies the Sickle Creek area including the Sofia system as a distinct subsidiary feature on its margin. The Alexandra copper-gold geochemical anomaly is also situated over another second order circular magnetic feature on the south-eastern rim of the larger magnetic ovoid o·void or o·voi·dal n. The following is the summary from The Lloyd Geophysical Report on the Sofia prospect: "Based on the geophysical data discussed in this report, the surveys have outlined a very strong IP chargeability anomaly with a significant magnetic overprint o·ver·print tr.v. o·ver·print·ed, o·ver·print·ing, o·ver·prints To imprint over with something more, especially to print over with another color. n. 1. A mark or impression made by overprinting. . This anomaly, which overlies approximately 50 percent of the survey area, is about 1,400 metres long and 1,000 metres wide. Furthermore it remains open to the northwest, the northeast and the southwest, and also has a strong depth component. Since this anomaly is underlain by rocks of the Jock Creek quartz monzonite pluton plu·ton n. A body of igneous rock formed beneath the surface of the earth by consolidation of magma. [German, back-formation from plutonisch, plutonic, from Latin , it has been interpreted to indicate the presence of a strong sulphide system with the potential to host a significant gold-copper porphyry deposit." Sofia represents a large-scale previously undiscovered copper-gold prospect that will be subject to further geophysical and geological surveys followed by a core drilling program in 2006. Assaying was conducted by Eco-Tech of Kamloops, BC and Assayers Canada of Vancouver. All assays are 30 gram fire assays with 28-element ICP (1) (Internet Cache Protocol) A protocol used by one proxy server to query another for a cached Web page without having to go to the Internet to retrieve it. See CARP and proxy server. . Field work was under the direction of by Dave Kuran, P. Geo., who also compiled and interpreted the data and who is the qualified person for the Company.
