The term also refers to the act of obtaining bribes, as well as to the crime of a prostitute who offers sexual Grievance griev·ance n. 1. a. An actual or supposed circumstance regarded as just cause for complaint. b. A complaint or protestation based on such a circumstance. See Synonyms at injustice. 2. Committee. The committee investigates and makes recommendations as to the disposition of attorney advertising complaints. Because the committee is a special grievance committee, nominees are sought from throughout the state. The committee meets primarily by telephone conference each month. Appointments are for three years and lawyer members must have been members of The Florida Bar The Florida Bar is the mandatory state bar association for the state of Florida. It is the third largest such bar association in the United States. Its duties include the regulation and discipline of attorneys. for five years by the date of appointment.
