Statewide Water Conference Set for May 3-6 in San Jose; ACWA to Unveil 'Blueprint for California's Water Future' at Spring Conference.

 Spring Conference & Exposition, themed "California's Water Blueprint: Charting Our Course," is expected to draw more than 2,000 local water officials as well as state and federal water leaders. The event will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and San Jose Marriott.

The conference will feature the unveiling of ACWA's "Blueprint for California's Water Future," host numerous speakers, and facilitate discussions about diverse water-related subjects. These include the debate over the future of Hetch Hetchy -- moderated by San Jose Mercury News The San Jose Mercury News is the major daily newspaper in San Jose, California and Silicon Valley. The paper is owned by MediaNews Group. Its headquarters and printing plant are located in North San Jose next to the Nimitz Freeway (Interstate 880).  Editorial Page Editor Phil Yost, the funding of future water infrastructure, flood control, groundwater management, urban and agricultural water use efficiency, and potential new water user fees to fund the CALFED Bay-Delta Program.
