State Farm's Ad Campaign Targets Its Products to Chinese Community.


A new advertising campaign introduced by State Farm Insurance Co., Bloomington, Ill., markets to the Chinese community, which is the largest Asian group in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. . The advertising campaign is slated for television, radio and newspapers targeted to the Chinese communities in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Toronto. The campaign features the State Farm logo, "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there," which translates into Chinese as, "Having a good neighbor, there's peace of mind every day." State Farm's name, however, will not be translated into Chinese.
