Starlight Networks and Hughes Network Systems Plan Corporate Multimedia Broadcast Solutions.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1995--Starlight Networks and Hughes Network Systems (HNS) today announced that they are working together to provide solutions delivering high bandwidth multimedia data to corporate PCs via HNS' DirecPC satellite services.

The two companies are engaged in a joint development and marketing alliance that brings together Hughes' expertise in satellite communications with Starlight's leadership in multimedia networking. The resulting solutions are expected to cost-effectively deliver high bandwidth multimedia data in real-time across wide areas, and will significantly benefit applications such as electronic commerce, document imaging, public information dissemination, long-distance training, corporate broadcasts, retail sales, etc.
